A working day. A thoughtful care plan.

Puppy beginnings and settled adult life need different kinds of support.

Your job is one part of the day

An eight-hour working day can include family help, a sitter, a walker or suitable daycare. What matters for the dog is the actual time between company and toilet opportunities, and how the individual handles that routine.

The first puppy weeks

Young puppies need toilet opportunities every couple of hours, and after sleep, play and food. Arrange reliable hands-on help and introduce very short absences gradually. A visit schedule intended for an adult may not cover a puppy’s needs.

Long-term adult life

RSPCA guidance generally recommends no longer than four hours alone, while tolerance varies between individual dogs. Plan regular company and breaks, watch the dog’s response and ask for support if they struggle. No breed name guarantees comfort during a full day alone.
