The beginning

Puppy days

Reward calm greetings and lead walking in short sessions. Introduce household sights and sounds gradually, providing safe toys and undisturbed rest while establishing consistent family rules.

Your everyday

Adult life

Combine regular walks with fetch, puzzle games or a dog sport. Adjust activity to the individual, and measure food carefully because this breed can gain weight readily.

Everyday care

Brush through the double coat to the skin, increasing attention when the undercoat sheds heavily. Add daily walks and mental activity, with routine nails and dental care.

Worth planning for: Expect vocal behaviour and seasonal undercoat shedding; a compact body still needs exercise and thoughtful food portions.
